independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization

ANSAB (Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources) was established in 1992 as an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization. ANSAB works throughout South Asia and its headquarters are located in Kathmandu, Nepal. ANSAB is committed to the conservation of biodiversity and economic developemnt through community-based enterprise oriented solutions. ANSAB has been active in the field of ecology for over a decade, operating in ecological, technological, economic and socio-cultural enviornments. ANSAB works at the grass-root level, dealing mainly with individuals and experts specializing in biodiversity, and, more specifically, non-timber forest products (NTFPs) in Nepal.

ANSAB's RM journey has had tremendous results! Thanks to the success of its resource centre, ANSAB now generates approximately 20% of its operational costs. Today the Centre is an institution which excels in project development and resource management. It also hosts several national and international events!
