What we fund

IDRC funds research in developing countries to:
  • promote growth and development
  • reduce poverty and create equitable access to resources and services
  • encourage good governance and build strong policies
  • address existing or emerging problems in developing countries.
How we fund

IDRC funds research in two ways:

1. Grants. These are competitive funding calls that appear throughout the year. Eligibility criteria varies with each call.
