Today, problems faced by developing countries are increasingly global in nature. At IDRC, we believe that collaboration is essential to addressing the challenges we all face in a globalized world. Problems such as emerging diseases, climate change, environmental degradation, and struggling economies know no borders or boundaries. Often, these challenges can benefit from a multi-regional response.

Linking people and ideas around the globe is one of the best ways to deliver solutions. We believe in knowledge-sharing through networks and regions to widen the impact of research. From networks involving dozens of institutes to links forged among individual researchers, bringing people and institutions together is central to our work.
