Publication in French of Private Sector and Enterprise Development (MENA)

The book, Private Sector and Enterprise Development: Fostering Growth in the Middle East and North Africa, by Lois Stevenson; Edward Elgar and IDRC, 2010, provides an overview of the economic structure and policy framework for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship in12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Although recently published, it has already been described as a classic. The book also provides a benchmark assessment of the state of policy in the field immediately before the eruption of the Arab Spring, and the global economic recession. The French version will include a short Epilogue to reflect these developments. It will be written in English and can therefore be added to the online English version, and translated into French for inclusion in the French publication.
