Call for Proposals: Impact evaluation of a savings promotion program

IDRC and the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) invite proposals for an impact evaluation of the project Promoting Savings with “Solidaridad” Beneficiaries in Dominican Republic.
The aim of the evaluation is to generate rigorous evidence about innovations in savings products aimed at meeting the needs of the most vulnerable. The evaluation will study the impact of the savings products on beneficiaries. It will also consider the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in providing these financial services.

This project is part of the Research Platform on Social Protection, Financial Inclusion and ICTs: “Todas Cuentan,” which pools efforts from researchers and donors working in this area. The platform is coordinated by Universidad de Chile, Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP), and IDRC. It brings together several initiatives, including Pro-Savings (an IDB/MIF program) and Proyecto Capital (IEP and Fundación Capital), and is funded by the Ford Foundation, IDB/MIF, and IDRC.
